Estate Planning and Business Law: Creating a Cohesive Succession Plan for Business Owners
Personal estate plans and business succession plans often contradict each other or worse, the personal estate plan does not take care of the client’s business interests in an effective way. Many times, the business law attorney does not talk to the personal estate planning attorney or vice versa. As a result, the business law requirements for a comprehensive succession plan are not met and conversely the personal estate plan is not utilized to its fullest effect. This seminar, taught from the perspective of a business law attorney, will discuss how to create a cohesive estate/business succession plan for business owners that contemplates both areas of law.
